Cumberlege Commission – an independent commission that reviewed the way in which the Catholic Church                              handled cases of sexual abuse by clergy and others associated with the Church’s work.

To ensure that the findings and recommendations of an independent commission, chaired by former health                                minister Baroness Cumberlege, were publicised nationally. The aim was to secure fair and accurate reporting of                      the commission’s report and to publicise the 72 recommendations for more action by the Catholic Church in                          England and Wales.
